Larne and Inver Primary School pupils and staff have been involved in the Take 5 programme this year. This programme encourages children to focus on five key areas to improve their mental health and well-being. We all worked extremely hard to achieve the Level 1 and 2 Take 5 steps to Wellbeing Accreditation during the Academic Year 2024-25.
As we continue on our Take 5 journey next year, we will again implement a programme of activities which will focus on ‘CLANG’ the 5 key areas of Take 5 - Connect, Keep Learning, Be Active, Notice, and Give. Look out for our Take 5 notice board to find out more.
All classes made a greater effort to incorporate all 5 areas into their planners and topics as often as possible. Each class discussed ideas for our school Take 5 Pledge and the School Council helped decide which to use for our final school pledge.
Next year, we will introduce Take 5 Ambassadors and look forward to working on all the areas again. We enjoyed trying new sports, visiting new places, meeting more people in our community, trying to eat more healthily, taking part in daily wellbeing activities and trying to be more active.
