We had a visit from the ARC 21 Recycling Bus on Wednesday. We were really looking forward to visiting Noel again! He told us all about where our waste goes and what we can and cannot recycle. What we found most interesting was all the things that can be made from recycled items. We looked at jigsaws made from plastic bottles, a bag made from cartons, a soft toy and fleece made from shredded plastic bottles and lots of others but the funniest one was a photo frame made from elephant poo! That was a surprise!
Noel let us 'smell' the smell from a landfill site and also let us smell the air freshener they use at the landfill near Belfast.
We also made our own dog or cat bookmarks from recycled paper. We really enjoyed his visit...thanks Noel!
